Keep in mind that this specific feature is only available through the desktop version of Gmail at the moment, though, so you won’t be able to unsubscribe from emails this way within the mobile app. Once you click “unsubscribe,” Gmail will move any emails from the sender you unsubscribe from to your spam folder. This link is located to the right of the sender information at the top of the email. To unsubscribe from emails that land in your Gmail inbox, you can use the Gmail unsubscribe link that appears at the top of most marketing, spam, and newsletter emails. The Gmail Unsubscribe feature that’s actually built directly into the inbox lets you do this. Even though Gmail already filters many messages into Social or Promotional folders automatically, there are always instances where you may want to manually unsubscribe from certain emails or block spam emails entirely.
